The Cellular Matrix
The native plant sharing network is a cellular matrix of plants and people. It begins when neighbors gather with each other to form neighborhood level plant sharing cells. These cells are not static. They are dynamic. The ultimate goal is for plant sharing to become a way of life. As that occurs, a unique cluster of people will begin to form around each person in the network. This is our cell, and these are our people. Most will likely be our neighbors, but it is also important that friends in the greater community are included in our cell. It is through these broader community level friendships that neighborhood level cells are connected with other neighborhood level cells to form the matrix. The matrix is sustained by people foraging, gathering and moving native plants throughout the network. Our inaugural cell in Flintstone/Chattanooga Valley, GA is just getting off the ground.
